When I say, ‘unethically romantic,’ I am saying in a fun way. Because what transpires in the end will leave you with a smile on your face yet you may wonder what just happened – again, in a good way.
In this 8-minute long film, we see a couple on a enjoying a meal at a restaurant, roaming the streets, shopping for new clothes followed by some window shopping while one thing dominantly stands out – while the husband is okay with spending, the wife is politely denying any big-ticket spends and sticks to buying budget-friendly stuff. Yet, they are happy. They are happy in their togetherness. They are happy exploring each other’s company. That’s it!
Such simple emotions are difficult to portray – with just smiling faces and hopeful eyes. I always wonder how difficult it must be for actors to interpret and perform something that couldn’t be put on paper? The writer and director, Anshuman Shrivastava should be equally praised for it.
Coming back to the lovely couple, it’s so pleasing to watch Jaspal Sharma and Archana Rajput become those characters that it feels like you are watching a real-life couple explore something new outside their routine for the first time. Their hesitation, their wonder, their excitement, their love – all felt so real.
This seems to be Eeja Films’ first film, as this film is the only video on their channel. Hope we get to see more great content from them in the coming days.
