This is one of the crazy short films I have recently watched. What else can you expect when it’s written and directed by Be YouNick and SlayyPoint makes a surprise landing as AI-generated news reporters?
The Main Course starts as an office romance, flirting and mutual attraction to be precise, without giving you the slightest hint of what’s about to unfold. As the story moves ahead, you believe that the woman is misunderstood and the guys have just lost it. As it progresses further, you believe that it’s ‘aurat ka chakkar’ that ruined a great friendship but again… we are wrong.
If no one’s wrong and no one’s right, where exactly are the characters headed and what’s waiting for them outside their workplace?
I stumbled upon Main Course while searching for short films on YouTube and discovered this fun workplace comedy. I enjoyed it all the more because I had absolutely no idea what might or might not happen. However, I see that they haven’t shied away from giving away details of the core plot. Still, I recommend you watch it without finding out anything more about the story. The real fun lies in watching it unfold.
And yes, once you watch this movie, let me know in the comments what you think happened at the end of the film. Were the tech generated news channel reports from Slayy Point on point about the woman? Annddd.. If their news wasn’t so fake after all, do you think Nick’s friend deserved what happened to him?
Watch this fun film for sure. It’s pure entertainment for 17 minutes straight.
